Summary/Abstract: Horizontal level of register motivation as one of extralinguistic motivation types (Ološtiak, 2011) constitutes an open set of communicational registers (Slančová, 1999) according to domain of use, that can be described from phonological, morphological, lexical, syntactic and pragmatic points of view. Vocabulary of pregnant women’s communication register is perceived as a set of lexical means used by pregnant women and mothers, which discuss the themes about pregnancy, childbirth and (expected) child on the internet forum. Author of this article offers short description of lexicon of this communication register: characteristic of paradigmatic relations among those expressions and their analysis according to manner of nomination and different extralinguistic motivation types. The focus of this text is on lexicographically processed part of lexicon with illustrations from investigated forum. Analysed register shows more contrary features: it is simultaneously based on terminological and expressive expressions, on economic expressions (as abbreviations and univerbates) and multi-word onomasilogical explicit expressions as well.
