Summary/Abstract: After the Turkish Republic was established, many young artists went abroad to complete their education, some were sponsored by the Turkish Government while others simply paid their own way. The young artists who won the contest named "Conquer Europe" will be the source of new art as the Turkish Republic inspired to become a modern state of the 20th. This research tries to shed light on the lives, styles and efforts of the artists who were on government sponsorship to study abroad.
