Summary/Abstract: Swinging, that is partner swapping, is a phenomenon that exists on the boundary of norm and pathology in sexology. Although it goes beyond the medical or social norm and contains a very big risk of HIV-infection, it wins now more and more followers. The couples that practice group sex are in their opinion very happy and satisfied people and their marriages are exceptionally successful. Swinging is an alternative for the traditional model of marriage. This article presents the phenomenon of swinging as a risk sexual behaviour that becomes more and more popular and in some social groups even desirable.
