The partnership and marriage models of male-to-female and female-to-male transsexuals

Summary/Abstract: This article has presented an issue of partnership and marriage between transsexuals both sexes. Nowadays we are able to observe extending interest of the subject, lately not only the partnership but the family creating by transsexuals as well. Author presents transsexualism and partnership as separated ideas, then indicates that partnership in transsexualism is probably a different pattern of relation. The most important thing seems to be the idea of „being man or woman” according to psychical not biological marks is acceptable by the partner and supported by. According to the author the idea is strongly connected with a feeling between patient and his erotic partner, domination patterns, sexual needs of both of them, social adaptation and valid therapeutic potential. The issue presented in this research is as it follows: 1. Partnership models in relation with transsexuals (characteristic of partners, marriage and family). 2. Personality and sexuality of transsexuals’ partners. 3. Implications for therapy. Five the most popular models of partnership in transsexualism have been described in further text. Author consider different factors influencing on partnership as the time of lasting, type and quality of the relation. As there is still not enough research on that field, so one should explore the topic to know better different aspects of it.
