Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of multiculturalism, often associated with a term “cultural diversity”, is oneof the most discussed issues nowadays. The aim of the article is to bring a closer look at theabove mentioned phenomenon in relation to the perception of ethnicity often presented as animportant aspect of ethnic humour. Moreover, ethnic jokes aimed at mockery andunderestimation of different ethnic groups also reflect socio-cultural changes and can serve asa record of important historical events.
