Summary/Abstract: This paper is dedicated to the issues of technical texts and it presents outcomes achieved during the KEGA project No. 018TU Z-4/2014 Implementation of Educational Methods for the Improvement of Teaching Processes in the Field of Technical Mechanics. The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of goal-directed support in technical and foreign-language competence during university education. The German-Slovak term base of selected terms from the technical area of elasticity and strength of materials, is included at the end of this paper.
