Summary/Abstract: Islamıc Sects are the organized continuance of different orders of a religion. The essential of all the monotheist religions are holy book, but different cultures and separation of the sects quickened the formation of the sects. During the spreading of Islamic religion from Arabic peninsula to North, Muslims encountered established cultures in this abundant geography and then mysticism which is the system of thinking emerged and sects began to consist. Most of these sects, Mevlevi and Bektashı sects were the most expanding and well known ones. Lots of images and belief which are belonging to religion can be transferred to generations with the power of music and it can convey the social changes with its holy perception. This study aims to tell the relationship between belief and music customs in Anatolian geography with focusing of the “Sema” and “Semah” concepts.
