Summary/Abstract: In our paper, we focus on the characteristics and use of outdated vocabulary at present. In the spotlight are the author's historicisms, especially those that refer to titles, rank, position and people with these titles and ranks that processed in its document „Табель о рангах всех чинов, воинских, статских и придворных“ Peter I in the 1722. It is a document that became the basis for the classification of government in Russia. Some of historicisms are also used at present while their importance in comparison with the past a little bit different.
