Summary/Abstract: Introduction. In the research there were carried out family, sociological and sexual interviews amongst men and women of various sexual orientation. Their sexuality was assessed and compared to the group of heterosexuals. Case and methods. The research material was composed of 150 people of different sexual orientation (homosexual and bisexual). The surveys were filled out in a gay club and through gay web portal. Each of the participants was asked to answer 30 questions. Data were presented with frequency distributions and cross-tabulations. Frequencies were presented on graphs. Results and conclusions. There was indicated that the family relations and their influence on sexual life of people of different sexual orientation do not differ substantially from those observed at heterosexual people. A great majority of interviewees wants same-sex marriages legalization and half of the interviewees is opting for same-sex adoption. Condom has occurred to be the most frequent method of preventing sexual diseases amongst homosexuals. It appears that educating society and promoting anti-discrimination attitude of people of different sexual orientation may enhance the quality of their lives as well as diminish social pressure exerted on them related to heterosexual family model
