Asexuality – the fourth sexual orientation?

Summary/Abstract: The asexuality theme was so far considered rather as a pathology than a norm. The sexual need was treated as innate and its decrease might have been the effect of many factors, such as psychosexual development disorders, disease process or anxiety. In this article the answer to the question of understanding the lack of sexual drive in the past and present time is being searched. It is also including researches concerning ways of defining own sexuality by the members of AVEN and proper researches of the connection of sexual satisfaction and sense of life quality.
