Summary/Abstract: The article explored V. Grendzha-Donsky's reviews on theater performances and his publications about the theater, which certify the artist's attention to this cultural sphere as a means of social, national-patriotic, cultural and spiritual education of Transcarpathians. In this article first considered in detail the activities of V. Grendzha-Donsky associated with the development of Ukrainian theater in Transcarpathia 20-30's.
