Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the present, still unresolved concept of the aesthetic interpretation, focused on not exclusively fine art, but also on non-artistic realities. The interpretation is perceived as a semiotic and communicative act of the recipient and perceived object/event/activity. It has a multilayer structure and dialogical character, but in the intention of formulating the statement it is close to translation. The problem of over-interpretation (interpretation boundaries) is still determining the issue of interpretation and aesthetic reception, which is in the paper solved with the emphasis on authenticity and legitimacy of interpretation, on sincerity of interpretative statement of recipient and with the emphasis on personal responsibility. In the present situation when is the interpretation perceived rather as research of interpretation discourse than the interpreted object itself, it could be understood as repetitive act, or repetitive interpretation.
