Summary/Abstract: Both nutrition and physical activity has an important impact on the level of sexual desire although these factors do not seem to be widely appreciated. Dietary factors determine functioning of the nervous, endocrine and cardiovascular systems, that is all systems that affect, inter alia, libido and sexual performance. Improper nutrition interferes with the performance of these systems, and properly balanced diet and regular physical activity have a positive impact on their performance and therefore on the sex drive. The main purpose of this article is to show that only the appropriate way of eating, which is a balanced diet and proper distribution of meals during the day, as well as an appropriate level of physical activity, can produce the desired result in the form of increased libido.
