Summary/Abstract: In this article, requirements to the communicative aspect of speech and features of business communication are considered on the basis of the Russian and French proverbs and the sayings the knowledge of which promotes adopting of trainees to the culture of the people of the country of the studied language, and also facilitates the process of cross-cultural communication.
