Summary/Abstract: The article is to consider the European dimension in the novel „Felix Austria“ by current Ukrainian writer Sofia Andrukhovych. S. Andrukhovych masterfully describes the atmosphere of town Stanislav in historical region of Central-Eastern Europein: Galicia (now town: Ivano-Frankivsk) in the early 20th century, when belonged to the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. At the same time, she is destroying one of the largest Central myths about Galicia as a country of happiness where different cultures and religions coexist without friction. Novel is about life of two women from different walks of life, belonging to different religions and cultures, dividing the common space, is a metaphor for the coexistence of different people in the Habsbur’s monarchy. The book is a nostalgic and melancholic at the same time.
