Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to explain cognitive causes of semantic changes of linguistic world view of earth through conceptual metaphors. The system and text (corpus) data show how the linguistic world view of earth is semantically structuralized and differentiated in Slovak language, especially from stylystic aspect, which regards the function and communication aim of the text. We specify artistic, publicistic and professional world views of earth through preferred meaning of unit and the way of metaphoric conceptualization.
