GOD IN Y. YEVTUSHENKO’S POEM “MUM AND THE NEUTRON BOMB”

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the author’s individual perception of the image of God in the poem by Y. Yevtushenko “Mum and the Neutron Bomb”. Two backgrounds were used for the analysis: (1) the total Soviet paradigm: God (inner spiritual world) and government (state ideology) and (2) some of the ideas from the book by V. Irzabekova “Secrets of Russian words. Notes of a Non-Russian Man”. The article reflects the phases of transformation of the image of God in the process of formation of Y. Yevtushenko as a poet and as a citizen. Relationship with God is seen on an example of poetic image in a specific historical period in the politicized country, and is analyzed from two aspects (1) creation time – the 20th century: reading time the 20th century and (2) creation time – the 20th century: reading time the 21st century.
