Summary/Abstract: This text is a review of the novel The Noise of Time by British author Julian Barnes. The interpretative focus follows the ontological thematizations (relations between history and art, life and art, fact and fiction), illustrated in the novel, and the procedures of their narrative articulation (metafiction and apocryphal history).
