Summary/Abstract: Petar Andonovski’s novels stand apart from the “horizon of the expecta-tions” (Jauss), namely according to affect theory, their narration addresses the un-expected, the singular, or the strange. This essay proposes that affect theory be used as a key to unlocking the novels’ world, i.e., to ensure its own applicability in the overall process.
