Summary/Abstract: Franz Kafka’s work entitled “The Metamorphosis (or also sometimes translated as The Transformation)”, which is translated by different names at different dates, can constitute an important source in terms of the plastic arts. From this understanding, it can be said that relationship between literary texts and visual-plastic arts is undeniable. The artists can be expressed their alienation from life, relationships and themselves through words, plastic pursuits or three-dimensional designs within this interaction. In this context, 11 fourth grade students were asked to produce visual productions in their own styles by having a lot of inquiries about Franz Kafka’s work entitled “Metamorphosis” in Harran University, Department of Fine Arts Education, Section of Painting. As a result of these productions, a total of 8 works were found appropriate for research. Gregor Samsa’sstatus, the protagonist in the story, who reveals his presence which is overwhelmed with mental distress and mechanisms of power through allegorical depictions provided the inspiration for students in the workshop works. This article was tried to illustrated how written indicators in the story entitled “Metamorphosis” is visualized in their own world by students who receive painting education by making a “literature review” and using “descriptive analysis” method. In addition to these, intellectual and plastic relations were evaluated between paintings done by students and work entitled “Metamorphosis”.
