Summary/Abstract: Painting is one of the most important artistic media that children to express himself/herself. The child gives information about his/her inner world by his/her pictures. And also pictures refers to children’s development phases. In this research, schematic period in children pictures (7-9 years old) will be discussed. We will focus on the impacts of the cognitive effects of the concrete operational period – corresponding to the same age interval – on children paintings in the schematic period. Children paintings in this period, where the children's ability to present attains a distinctly high level and the objects considered by them become more evident than ever before, will be explained by concepts including object-representation, diagrams, symbols and will be supported by examples.
