Depiction of diplomatic interpreting in professional literature from the field of translation studies: status of research on the example of Slovak and Russian sources

Summary/Abstract: This paper is devoted to the so-called diplomatic interpreting, its definition, specifics and position in the current Slovak and Russian translation studies. The article presents an overview of publications related to the subject of diplomatic interpreting, not only from the area of translation studies, but also from sources devoted to diplomacy. On the basis of bibliographic research the target of this paper was to prove the interdisciplinary nature of this type of interpreting as well as to highlight its significance in the current translation studies.
