SAVJETOVANJE I SPECIFIČNOSTI SAVJETODAVNOG ODGOJNOG RADA PEDAGOGA SA NASTAVNICIMA
COUNSELING AND SPECIFIC QUALITIES OF THE ADVISORY EDUCATIONAL WORK OF PEDAGOGUES WITH TEACHERS

Summary/Abstract: The subject of school pedagogues' job description has been so far very often discussed. However, advisory educational work of pedagogues with teachers is often neglected in this job description. Advisory educational work includes a part of the personality of school pedagogue which is closely linked to the professional development of their work colleagues - teachers. Yet, the job of pedagogue does not end there. The mission of pedagogue as a teacher counselor goes a step further and offers possible methods and techniques applied in the course of responding to emerging problems, equips teachers with the skills necessary for the successful implementation of this process, and works on their development. Counseling is a specific pedagogical activity that involves the knowledge of the educational objectives, subjects of the educational process, methods and techniques of action with individuals and groups, as well as the conditions and circumstances in which the subject lives. The outcome of the advisory educational work will depend on the counseling skills which the pedagogue possesses, but also the outcome and success of counseling will depend on how much does the counselor - pedagogue know the circumstances and conditions in which the client lives. So, far the successful outcome of counseling, the counselor needs to realize a close emotional relationship with the client, full of confidence and security, in which the counselor will be able to see all the circumstances of the emerging problem. Equally important is the choice of methods and techniques for working with the counseling subjects, which precisely reflects the expertise of the counselors. This paper presents the basic characteristics and skills necessary for the successful implementation of the counseling process, and the domain (problem situations) where it is necessary to carry out this process.
