Summary/Abstract: The presented article encompasses the theoretical deliberations about the quintessence of the intelligent organizations and its characteristic features. The attempt to answer the question whether non-profit organizations are intelligent organizations is made. One of the matters that are under the academic discussions regard the extent to which the effective usage of the knowledge in the non-profit organizations can have an influence on their efficiency, attainment of statutory objectives, increase in the work capacity and development.
