Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the trilogy of Štefan Dovaľ (1950-2011), the Slovak prose writer from contemporary Romania. It highlights the viability of the various parts of the trilogy; their pulsation, including the specific excerpts from the origins. It accentuates the evolving understanding of this national literature, emphasizing also the specificity of the author’s understanding of the contemporary reality in the special – fictive – processing. From the reader’s point of view, Dovaľ’s theme processing from a regional aspect or a regional principle with specific regard to the Lowland colour is especially effective.
