Summary/Abstract: Accompanied by a general movement in the industrial world, government has been the main focus in the development debate in the early ‘90s , not only about the need to restructure the organization of global governance, but also about restructuring of the state and state-society relations within these countries as a basic condition for sustainable development. In this article appears transformation of some political scientists think about the way state and government, the role of civil society and especially the importance of governance ‘good’ for sustainable development. The concept of ‘good governance’, designed by the Rio Declaration and the World Bank in 1992 and adapted under the neoliberal approach to development, through its strategic mechanisms, contributes to long-term commitment to policy coherence through an open, transparent, comprehensive stakeholder to bring sustainable development strategies closer to the community and civil society. In this context, it is proposed as a thematic content analysis methodology, how a ‘good governance’, reflects the sustainable development strategies. The study emphasizes that strategic mechanisms are needed to distribute best practices and strategies to bring sustainable development closer to the people, in the format that they use to understand and change their behavior in a more durable. This study paves the way for future studies in reflection of good governance in sustainable development strategies, based on different approaches and methodologies.
