Summary/Abstract: In his review in this journal, Martin Vacek knows that the second edition of my Bertrand Russell on Modality and Logical Relevance has a difficult mission of revealing hitherto unsuspected major new dimensions in a great thinker whose work has already been investigated for over a century. Vacek has a very fine understanding of the book, and expresses only a few doubts. I am writing to explain away those doubts.
