Music as the Source of a Child’s Reproductive and Creative Activity

Summary/Abstract: The author discusses the issue of a child’s musical activity in the light of the assumptions of the pedagogy of creativity and the methodology of music teaching in younger classes. She concentrates on the interpretation of the term of “activity” as well as on basic forms of a student’s reproductive and creative activities. She looks for the relationships between the processes of memory: remembering, storing and reminding with students’ musical activity. She stresses the importance of music in a child’s personal development and its rearing.
