Summary/Abstract: The article presents the meeting of the Russian journalist Alexander Molchanov with Bulgarian king Alexander I and the events surrounding the meeting of the Serbian king Milan in Rousse in October 1882. At the same time one of the most difficult issues in the Bulgarian-Russian relations during the period - "military matters" is discussed. The essence and the opportunities of resolving the “military matters” as well as its importance for the king Alexander I and the Bulgarian-Russian relations in the context of some of the most difficult years (1879-1885) are central to the topic.
