Summary/Abstract: In this article the classification of incidents and accidents when working with sources of ionizing radiation (SIR) is discussed. Also are considered the important measures and actions laid down in the Bulgarian legislation for prevention of nuclear incidents and accidents, as well as for minimizing the consequences thereof for people and environment.
