Summary/Abstract: Translating is a legitimate procedure of reading literature and interpreting it, since it positions the work of literature within a new cultural code and new ethical system. Therefore, the translations of Shakespeare’s Hamlet and various transpositions of its most important metaphors invites some specifically Serbian readings of the tragedy.
