Summary/Abstract: In Alawite belief sistem, institutions of Ocak (Hearth) and Dedelik (Male Alawi Leadership) constitute basic bodies of Alawite belief organization and these said system maintaines its existance and continuity through structures in circles which were established around these two institutions. Being in the highest rank in the hierarchy in Alawite belief organization, Ocak Institution continues its existance with Dedelik Institution, and rituals of dede-talip (leader-disciple) and dede-cem (leader-gathering) take form around principles of this system. In this context, Alawite ocaks (hearths) taking shape around charismatic characters and showing institutional characteristic within historical & mental process concretizes their legitimacy with Dedelik Institution and Dedelik Institution embodies its legitimacy with both taliplik (discipleship) structure which Dedelik Institution has consituted within itself and cem (gathering) rituals.
