Summary/Abstract: First academic studies in logistics can be seen in mid twentieth century. “Transportation Journal” is the first of its scope, was published in 1961. After that, other journals such as “International Journal of Logistics Management, Journal of Business Logistics” were published (Gravier and Farris, 2008). At the same period, associations which bring scientists, sector representatives together were established. First academic study goes back to 1850’s, when Henry Adams, who was president of Yale University, offered the course “Economics of Transport” (Farris, 1997). In this study, our country’s academic perspective of logistics science will be determined by content analysis method in national publications between the years of 1980-2011. All scientific researches that have been conducted in Turkey about “Logistics”, are searched in YÖK Electronic Theses archive and local indexes. The distribution of data obtained is analyzed according to publishing years, universities/institutes, languages, keywords, research scopes, and subjects’ trends of change are determined.
