POETIC PRINCIPLES IN ALEKSANDAR TIŠMA’S DIARY 1942-2001

Summary/Abstract: This paper was written with the intention to discover in the writer’s Diary 19422001 the author’s poetic principles and creative genesis viewed from the author’s perspective. Tišma is a writer who relies on experience and expeienced world, on the documentary, observed and experienced. His poetics, as well as his prose, is characterized by the gnoseological and anthropological pessimism. Limited by the destiny of a writer in a small town and provoked by the yearning for the great world and full, adventurous life, he chose heroes-victims and underlined the strength of destructive human impulses.
