Summary/Abstract: The art of Painting is a means of communication and the oldest method of sharing which helps to transfer the feelings from person to person. Since the prehistoric moral paintings it has attemped to describe a person’s ambitions, fears, joys etc. And such sensational feelings of humans which all make up their whole being. the 20th century can be considered to be the most significant era of such attempts. As art is a concept expressing feelings an demotions in a culture, it is seen as a feature which enables different products to be studied both in terms of artists and from the perspective of viewers in the frame of time and space. People cannot be expected to be in sames ystem of feelings and thoughts throughout their lives. This proves the uniqueness and the variety of perception of pieces of art resulting from the changes in feelings. In this respect, in general the ideas of English Philosopher Colling wood about art and feelings will be evaluated and the expressional interactions in the 20th century will be taken into consideration. In additionally in this study, some art works will be described as expressionist. The concept of art will be addressed through Collingwood's point of view.
