LOVE STORY IN ONE CORRESPONDENCE BY JULKA HLAPEC ĐORĐEVIĆ

Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes novel One Correspondence by Julka Hlapec Đorđević. The work of this author is being contextualised through three aspects of her feminist activity: theoretical, critical and literary. Paper specially analyzes the way love story is being thematized in this epistolary novel. This shows relationship between elements of the novel and the feminist ideological corps which Julka Hlapec Đorđević represented and theoretised. Through specific construction of main characters, Marija Prohasovska and Oton Šrepan, author achieved polysemousness of text of this novel in relation to sentimental epistolary novel with love theme. Beside this polysemousness, Julka Hlapec Đorđević, promotes with this novel new understanding of women, love, marriage and sexuality, by which she achieves direct link to her essayistic activity.
