Summary/Abstract: A tomb No. 662 was uncovered in the necropolis of Apollonia Pontica.. Three bronze coins were put in the mouth of the dead body, dating from 350-306 BC. According to the ancient authors, Charon’s fee amounts at one or two obols. Although a thesis might be accepted, that the „Charon obol” applied three times is the case in point.
