Summary/Abstract: On the materials of the documents stored in the Izmail archives (Izmail, Ukraine), the settlement of the fortress of Izmail and the town of Tuchkov by the representatives of different ethnic groups at the end of the18th and at the beginning of the 19th centuries is being considered. The quantitative composition, manufacturing interests of Moldavians, Ukrainians, Russians, Armenians, Greeks, Poles, Jews of this period are analyzed.
