Summary/Abstract: Using a sample of 202 employees from a broad cross section of organizations, this study investigated the relationships of employees’ and their coworkers’ organizational citizienship behavior, cyncism and psychological capital. Hierarchical linear modeling results revealed that coworkers’ psychological capital was negatively related to employees’ self organizational cynicism and positively related to organizational citizienship behaviors, with these relationships mediated by employees’ psychological capital. We also found that coworkers’ organizational cyncism was not related to employees’ psychological capital but was positively related to employees’ organizational cynicism. Finally, the possible reasons, implications and limitations of the study were discussed.
