Summary/Abstract: One of the most important elements in the transfer of values of civilizations throughout the history to future generations is arts. Our Traditional Arts, as part of our cultural values, have reached the present day with the reflection on art. The unique art of a nation, constitutes the cultural level of people and symbols of social life. Decorative arts were born and developed in this sense until today. The art of illumination, as a part of decorative arts, shows developments and changes in the process through the centuries. The subject of the present study is the illuminated pages and binders of the Koran with the date 1314 -15 and inventory number “12” in Konya Mevlana Museum. According to the information given on the colophon page of the Koran, it was written by Katip İsmail b. Yusuf in Konya for Halil b. Mahmud from Karamanlı Beyler in the date of H.724 / M.1314-15 and illuminated by Yakup b. Gazi el-Konevî. Both the calligraphy and the illumination of the Koran are important in terms of enlightening the course of history of illumination and reflecting the features of that period. As of it was written, it has been a work of the Beyliks and shown similar styles with the understanding of retro arts of the period, which belongs to the post Seljuk period. The work was examined in terms of motifs, patterns and stylistic features and some information was given about stylistic features that were effective in its design. Ornamentation of the work was evaluated with the support of visual materials and drawings.
