Summary/Abstract: In this article, the paintings, with the theme of "women" dated between 1950-53, of De Kooning and Dubuffet, two of the most important representatives of American Abstract Art, will be examined. Firstly, De Kooning's "women's series" paintings performed between these years will be examined with their visuals, and these painting's intellectual, psychological and historical origins will be determined. Then Dubuffet's artistic and world view will be examined and its reflection on women's paintings will be examined. Throughout this study, the points of action of the two painters working on the topic of women, the similar and different points in practice, the intellectual and psychological orientations on the subject will be analyzed and tried to be explained with examples.
