Summary/Abstract: Subjective assessment for self effectiveness is a factor, which exercises significant influence on leadership styles used in commander activity from direct officers. Two questionnaires are applied: a modified version of "the Managerial Grid" with two subscales for defining the orientation of leadership style - towards task and relationships, in real and ideal (desirable) version; situational questionnaire for the evaluation, four leadership styles; and a test for self-efficacy. Descriptive and correlation analysis are applied to the obtained data. The results confirm that the type of subjective assessment for self effectiveness is directly related to the way each commander exerts leadership role. A conclusion is made that the factor "subjective assessment for self-effectiveness" can be used as a predictor and determination of leadership behavior in military environment.
