Bábkarská Bystrica 2016 TOUR v kontexte dvoch desaťročí
BÁBKARSKÁ BYSTRICA TOUR 2016 IN THE CONTEXT OF TWO DECADES

Summary/Abstract: This contribution deals with one of the most prominent festivals of puppet theatre, which has gone through several conceptual and structural changes since its inception in 1977 and, as a live phenomenon, is still developing. It examines the history of the festival and its current form, whose new conception was introduced in the autumn under the title Bábkarská Bystrica TOUR 2016. This article aims not only to assess what Bábkarská Bystrica TOUR 2016 brought, but also to look back at some previous years of the festival with a view to filling the gaps in its history. The author focuses in particular on the organizational transformation of the festival and changes in its content and reviews and adds information from the so-called transition period which is part of the first publication about the festival (Národné divadelné centrum 1996). In the conclusion the author introduces and expresses appreciation for the latest conception of a partly migrating festival, filled with professional events and events attractive for the audiences.
