Summary/Abstract: The undertaken considerations are focused on the problem of brain drain in Eastern Poland. Therefore, it is a region underdeveloped migration of people with high education is a phenomenon of large-scale. Economic situation of the analyzed region is not very beneficial especially because the area has become depopulated and the administration of government does not engage too much on the region during the 20th anniversary of the transformation. There are a number of barriers regional development Polish Eastern. Region lies in a closed circle. Lack of financial resources and the brain drain slow down the pace of development. In recent years, some indicators are improving, especially investments, which raises hope for the future. Polish macro-East is facing a huge challenge. Developed support programs can contribute to the retention of professionals in the region or to attract such persons from abroad. No doubt it would be a good sign of improvement in macro-Polish Eastern.
