Summary/Abstract: Jaro Viňarský is one of the most important representatives of contemporary Slovakian dance and movement theatre, who is also often present on foreign stages. In this interview Ivo Dobrodovský asks the dancer-performer about his work in the context of contemporary Slovakian theatre and dance. Their dialogue spans from the past towards a possible future, while we also find out what Viňarský’s relationship with movement and the body is, what it is like to move alone or in company, as well as what the differences between the dance languages of different cultures are.
