Summary/Abstract: The aim of the report is to present some basic didactic principles in the work of the teacher in Bulgarian language now a days. Guiding postulates such as: practice-oriented training; closer relation between the teacher and the learner; “open” approach of the teacher to the learner; an easy to understand way of presenting the educational information, combined with a short and clear presentation; opportunities for the learner to actively take part and show activity within the educational process, etc. are discussed. Some methodological recommendations for the implementation of the above listed principles within the lessons in Bulgarian language are also provided.
