Summary/Abstract: The article depicts the processes of editing and printing of an Arabian Gospel Book, at Aleppo (Syria), in 1708, by the Ukrainian Hetman Ivan Mazepa. It equally reveals the important assistance provided to Ukraine by the Orthodox principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia, which, in a common effort, struggled to offer support to the Christians entrapped within the confines of the Arabian world. The article also includes a first translation, from the Arabian and Greek, of the Introduction written to the Gospel Book by the Patriarch Athanasius the IV-th from Dabbas (1685-1694 and 1720-1724).
