Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the position of Brazilian poetry in the Polish literary system using the examples of translations of poems by Carlos Drummond de Andrade. A library query has proved him to be the Brazilian poet whose works are most frequently translated into Polish. However, he remains little known in Poland, which results from both: lack of the representative publications in the mainstream and the quality of translations.
