Summary/Abstract: In this study it is aimed to compare the special talent exams in accordance with the secondary schools the students graduated from and the correlation thereof with the academic successes of the students in field courses they take throughout their undergraduate education. The study group of the study consists of 100 students, 62 of whom from Gazi University and 38 of whom from Necmettin Erbakan University, who succeeded in special talent exam in 2012 and started their undergraduate study in Art Teaching Department. The study was performed using the relational survey model, which is one of the survey models. T-test, variance analysis and correlation analysis were used in the analysis of obtained data. As a result of the research, it was determined that Special Talent Exam Placement Scores (ÖYS-YP) of the students were significantly different in accordance with the secondary education schools they graduated from, whereas, in terms of each secondary education school graduated from, the Special Talent Exam Placement Scores do not have a significant difference in terms of gender. Moreover, it was determined that there is no significant relation between the academic successes of students graduated from all high school types in field courses and their Special Talent Exam Placement Scores, and also it was determined that academic successes of the students according to the secondary education schools they graduated from does not have any significant difference in accordance with their ranking (main list-substitute list).
