Summary/Abstract: The aim of the current study was to examine whether approaches to women’s honor and gender roles attitudes predict feminine gender role stress. Participants of the study consisted of 446 female students studying in different universities in Turkey. Quantitative research methods were used in the current study. The data was collected through the “Personal Information Form (PIF)”, “Feminine Gender Role Stress Scale (FGRSS)”, “Attitudes on Approaches to Women’s “Honor” Scale (AAWA)”, “Gender Roles Attitudes Scale (GRAS)”. Data was analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression analysis. SPSS 23.0 software package was conducted for data analysis. The results show that premarital sexual activity perception of honor; egalitarian gender role and traditional gender role significantly predict FGRS. It has been found that firstly premarital sexual activity perception of honor, secondly egalitarian gender role, thirdly traditional gender role predict the levels of feminine gender role stress levels of female university students. Also, egalitarian perception of honor and traditional gender role did not significantly predict FGRS.
